Darcy's Post Card Challenge

Hope this works. I'm trying to follow Darcy's post card challenge, so here is my first card from Austria (too late for the challenge, I'm afraid. It's not entirely finished either, but I am just trying to catch up, so may post another pic later

here's the back

Here's week 2 - SPAIN

it's a great challenge. I'm looking forward to the next country

  1. Now I've looked at a few more of the fabulous entries in this challenge, I realise I should have included a bit more detail about the cards.

Austria - I used an embossing folder for the trees, which I cut out and added gold metallic wax where I thought they would catch the sun. I layered this over the sky layer (distress inks applied with shaving brushes)

Spain - my first ever water colour painting (and it shows!) I was given the paints, but sadly they had gone solid so I cut the ends off the tubes and prised some out. It seemed to dissolve OK, but I'm sure this is not what is supposed to happen. I put this behind a window shape I cut out to (loosely) resemble the arches in the Alhambra. The flowers are meant to be oleander, which grow there

  6. hello there, its not too late for the challenge at all, the challenge is to join in and make a book of cards, how many you do is up to you. The ones you have done so far are just lovely. Love the flowers on austria and the peek thru window on spain. I will now add you to the master list in my side bar.

Dont forget to check my blog on Mondays for the new country and to come back and link up from Friday onwards. x
